The Best Baby Carrier for Travel

The Best Baby Carrier for Travel

When Tiny Human 2 (TH2) was nine months old, he was an overachiever in the mass department. He was in the 90th percentile in all dimensions!

When we wanted to explore without a stroller, we needed a carrier that would be comfortable for TH2 and for our aging backs.

We’ve had a number of carriers, but the Ergobaby 360 All-Position Baby Carrier with Lumbar Support and Cool Air Mesh is the best we’ve had.

I walked around Valencia with TH2 in this carrier for hours. We cruised the streets, maneuvered effortlessly in and out of small shops, and I was able to interact more with TH2 as we took in all the sights and sounds.

What I Liked.

  • Adjustable seat/leg positions for baby depending on if he’s facing in or out.
  • Ample lumbar support.
  • Mesh does help keep baby and me cool.
  • Storage! There’s a zip pocket on the carrier and a detachable zip pouch that can fit my wallet, phone, and keys.

What I Disliked.

  • The detachable zip pouch can be challenging to access/zip/unzip.
  • I still sweat wearing TH2, but that’s because I’m a sweaty Betty, no fault of the carrier.

While the Ergobaby is my favorite for travel, my absolute favorite carrier of all time is the BabyBjörn Baby Carrier. I love how lightweight it is and the straps always felt very supportive.
